There is a meeting that’s been set. A plan is in place regarding the issues of our time. This conversation has one goal… unity. There’s a table that has been set. Email invites have been sent and accepted. The anticipation is rising. But, for some reason, one important guest was blacklisted. Overlooked because she requires the distinguished attendees to forfeit too much. Everyone agrees that it’s high time to wake up and cast off the works of ignorance, to heal the wound caused by hatred, but the guest without an invite is Love. The problem is that without love how can we have wisdom to find our way to a peaceful outcome? How do we put away our selfish ambitions and desires? How do we grasp the conviction to step away from the tree so that we can see the forest-- together? One's light is covered when love doesn’t rule. Therefore, without love, corruption seeps in and causes hate, discord, and division… but these are contrary to the common goal, unity. Intentional love is the unbreakable bond of unity. Without love, unity is fiction.
